What goes down at film festivals is big news for industry & media types, film directors, and film buffs alike but with festivals almost exclusively held in far away places, getting access to news as it happens has long been a challenge.
To bring the “insider” conversations from the sound stages, film previews, streets, after parties and red carpet events to a larger audience of film superfans, we built a pop news studio over the 7 days of the festival.
A team of reporters, story producers, editors and directors unearthed stories, interviewed emerging artists and ambushed events, quickly editing, packaging and publishing daily content for fans tuned into Sundance’s social channels for news as it was happening
